Here you will find all you need to know about checking-in and out of your apartment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
Check-in
1. Within a maximum period of 24 hours after you have successfully completed your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email with the contact information of the apartment representative, and the details of how you should complete your check-in procedure. For the apartments with the GI reference, the check-in is online.
2. Before your arrival, you will need to check-in online. During this process, you will have to complete the following steps:
- Indicate your check-in and check-out time of the apartment as accurately as possible, so that we can have the apartment ready on time.
- Fill in the required personal details of all of the guests.
- Pay the rest of the rent and tourist tax (the tax payment is only necessary for rentals of up to 31 nights).
- According to the apartment conditions, you must authorise the deposit in case of damage. Please note that this is NOT a payment; the amount of the deposit is not charged or blocked in your bank account, but you must authorise this charge in case of damages in the apartment during your stay.
- Sign the rental contract.
3. Handover of the keys: on the day of entry into the apartment, we will handover the keys to you, as long as you have completed the online check-in. Many of our apartments with the GI reference have a smart lock, which means that you can directly enter the apartment using a digital key on your phone, without having to come to our office to collect the keys.
In the case that you have to check-in at the AB Apartment Barcelona office, we will give you the necessary instructions for the keys and how to get to your apartment.
4. Arrival: check-in is available from 15:00h. There are no charges for a late check-in for apartments with a GI reference. In some cases, it is possible to enter earlier, as long as it is available and you have previously agreed this with the apartment representative or owner.

If you encounter any problems in the apartment during your stay, from any kind of damage, to the missing of any article or utensil, please contact the owner or representative of the apartment immediately so they can try to solve the problem as soon as possible. Check-out
2. When you leave the apartment, it must be in the same state of cleanliness as it was upon arrival, taking regular dirt generated after normal use of the apartment as an exception. For an additional fee, you can request an extra cleaning service in your customer area.
3. Before leaving, we will send you information about how to return the keys. Most apartments with GI reference work using digital keys on your smartphone, so it will not be necessary to leave the keys in our office after departure.
